False Correlations of Darwinism

My favourite topic of enquiry regarding creation and the refutation of Darwinism is zoology. Though my studies within it, from a formal perspective, include only an unfinished diploma, I have spent many hours reading, researching and observing the wonder of living things.

One of the fallacies of Darwinism that is rarely mentioned is the supposed correlation between bipedalism and intelligence. In the conventional time-line of human evolution, from monkey to 'modern' man, the assumption is made that increased bipedalism be-gets increased intelligence or vice versa, increased intelligence be-gets increased bipedalism. "Why of course, all four-legged creatures are stupid and all two-legged creatures are smart!", I hear the intellectually neotanised Dawkinites murmur.

That is simply not true. Bears are smarter than kangaroos for one, but it is also not true in view of Darwinian human evolution theory. If the fallacious correlation presented in the pretty pictures of the text books was true then we would find that the more bipedal the ape, the more intelligent. Unfortunately fact, and namely fact by zoological observation, proves otherwise. The smartest ape is not the most bipedal, and the most bipedal is not the most intelligent. Darwinists say "d'oh!

The most intelligent ape, shown by several tests that have included the ability to learn sign language and the ability to grasp gift reciprocity, is the orang utan. The thing about the orang is that it is the most arboreal of the great apes - it spends more time in the trees and is less bipedal than all of the other great apes such as gorillas and chimps. The most bipedal ape is not even a 'great ape', it is the gibbon. The gibbon habitually walks upright when dancing across branches or when on the ground. God made it this way because its long arms that are used for 'brachiating' through the trees are not suitable for the knuckle or wrist walking of the other apes. The gibbon is certainly not the most intelligent ape.

So there we have it, there is no observable relation between bipedalism and intelligence in apes, so how can it be assumed that there was in the fictitious tree of human evolution? Easily, because evolutions are experts at drawing pretty pictures and telling you that something definitely happened, without explaining how. You cannot reasonably posit that Lucy was any more intelligent than her relatives that swung in the trees more than she did.

The other false correlation is brain size and intelligence - inevitably the drawings show the head size increasing from the small head of an ape-like creature to the larger size of homo sapiens. As Dr. Marvin Lubenow, author of Bones of Contention observed, if you blow up a gorilla's brain you simply have a huge gorilla brain - it is the wiring of the brain that matters. In fact, gorillas have larger brains than orangs, but do not display intelligence to the same level. It is nothing to do with their size - chimps are smaller than both but have a larger brain than an orang.

These are just two scientifically verifiable observations made amongst living creatures that we can observe, study and test, not dead bones shoe-horned into a pre-conceived world view - now that's science.

A Most Wonderful Witness Part1

I have had two of my greatest witnesses from a point of view of the presentation of truth over the past few days.

The first was at our usual Saturday street outreach. I met an evolutionary biologist called Dr. Sharma, who I had a fantastic time with. We went through the icons of evolution theory and their fraudulent nature, the insufficiency of natural selection to explain origins or even explain speciation, and many other things.

He took me into a book shop to show me a new book on human evolution theory after I questioned the fallacious time-line of human ancestry. It wasn't there, which was a sweet touch to a talk based on the absence of evidence for Darwinism. He insisted to me that Lucy was a direct human ancestor, yet I pointed to the Laetoli tracks that pre-date the supposed existence of Australopithecus Afarensis as an ape-like human ancestor. The very fact that they are the imprints of a normal modern human of above average height completely flies in the face of standard models of the evolution of bipedalism.

The crux was DNA - after he was surprised to learn that Richard Dawkins admitted to evidence of complexity that could have been created by a transcendent intelligence, he admitted that attributing that design to ET was simply postponing the problem. He then attempted to tell me that DNA is not complex and that it simply evolved from less complex forms that were not quite as good. When I asked if that could be shown to me he said that it couldn't as it was all dead.

When I posited that this did not fall within the parameters of scientific enquiry because it could not be observed, studied or tested and that if he could not prove it ever existed then he was holding to it by religious faith I was filled with joy; I had got to one of those magic moments when a secular humanist is found severely wanting in his attempt to distance himself from faith and dogma.

Even though he refused my invitation to our nativity play as 'propaganda', I immediately prayed for his soul, knowing that showing an evolutionist his zealous faith in Darwinism and the fraudulent icons that he uses to prop up this faith, is the first step towards getting him to consider his own fallibility. Shedding light on his own narcissism is a step closer to his heart being open to the ultimate destroyer of foolish pride that is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Christopher Hitchens is Dead, Short Live Richard Dawkins

It is sad to hear that Christopher Hitchens has succumbed to cancer and died, because as Ezekiel tells us, God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked. Another sinner standing before the programmer of his DNA and found seriously wanting is not something to rejoice in.

The militant atheists such as Hitchens, Dawkins et al may rejoice when another creationist is off the scene, but I just couldn't find it in me to dance and sing when Mu'ammar Gaddafi was executed on camera, or even when news came that an unarmed Osama Bin Laden had been killed - in like manner this man may have stood against morality and truth but he was still a man and a soul. When you dig into the history of atheists you often find that others are to be indicted in the forming of their world-views - especially education boards and Christians who weren't ready to give an answer for the hope within them.

I say 'short live' Richard Dawkins not because I desire him to die early, but because life is a vapour and all flesh is as grass - here today and gone tomorrow. I for one don't want to spend 62 adult years using my reason and logic to argue against the only logical source of the ability to think and reason. Hitchens is gone, but Dawkins will be soon too; in 150 years none of us will be here.

Why Dawkins should post a brief, sentimental message on Twitter just doesn't make sense in either of their world-views. If Dawkins has evolved complex emotions and sociological abilities through the convoluted and tedious process of millions of years of random chance, then joy should spring forth as he realises that another conglomerate of chemicals that was competing with him for air, food, sexual partners etc, has expired.

He is completely unwarranted to feel any emotional connection or affection for one who was not a member of his family unit or a sexual partner. Pseudo-intellectual crusades against the God that made their soul certainly didn't do anything for their genome. Hitchens dying of cancer and Dawkins not in the best health points towards being a bitter atheist as not particularly good for your evolutionary survival.

Dawkins finished of his tribute by saying that Hitchens crusaded against 'all tyrants, including God (sic)'. The very fact that the 'Four Horsemen', including Dawkins and Hitchens, could run around spouting trite logical fallacies without immediate judgement points towards a long-suffering and graceful Lord who while they were yet in sin, died for them.

I don't know what it would take for Dawkins to get saved, or even if he is not too far gone to hear truth, but I sure would like to meet him and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to him. I know how lost these men are, but I also know the power of His Word.

I've Got a Book about That Somewhere...

A few weeks back I was about to witness to a man standing outside of a shopping mall smoking (the man, not me) when a young Muslim heard me mention Jesus Christ and stopped.

I knew he was looking for a debate, but since I have learned better than that, I decided to engage him;-) If you think you will win souls bound in Islam by debates alone then you are very wrong. We need God to be involved. I entertained a distraction to witnessing to someone else because I genuinely felt that God was involved with this new encounter.

To cut a long story short, everytime I countered his false ideas, fed to him by some demonised Muslim teacher who is perpetuating false-hoods regarding Christianity, he responded that that was simply my opinion and what he held to was true. I of course said that I was bringing truth to him, not offering an alternate opinion to be accepted or rejected, but throwing life-lines of hope to someone bogged down in a mire of false religion.

Probably the strongest fact that topples Islam is that though it claims to be the continutation of the biblical narrative there is absolutely no record of the mention of Islam before Mohammad. Though Muslims claim that all the prophets were Muslim and that they worshipped allah (al-illah - the god), all our solid, empirical evidence shows us that they were Hebrews and worshipped YHWH, culminating in Christ Himself who revealed in John 8 that He was the manifestation of the great I AM, as God the Son in the flesh (1 Tim 3:16).

I recommended he take a trip to the British Museum to see the artefacts for himself, but he declined and said that he had " a book about that somewhere". Hmm, wonder if he ever did find that book afterwards...

Showed by the Code

There absolutely is God. I believe in Him by faith, but HE IS because He is I AM, not because I believe in Him. He is self-existent and eternal, needing not to be created as He is transient to creation.

Something that struck me while listening to an excellent Pastor Harold Warner sermon called 'Fool's Gold' was the fact that there is indisputably a God because of DNA. This is just one sound argument of many, to wobble those gripping tightly to a self-erected pedestal of self-will.

DNA is code. It isn't the things that it is the instructions to build, but the information to build them. It is entirely abstract. Represented by the letters A,C,G,T, the most complex molecule in the universe is not a cell, but it contains the code to build them; it is not a protein, but contains the code to build them; it is not an animo acid, but contains the code to build them. In other words, if all living things contain this code, they could not have been produced without it (and DNA can obviously not code itself out of nothing or even be free-standing).

Code must have a coder to write it - it is symbolic, not naturalistic and material. Computer code has produced all you see on this screen, but needed a programmer to create the code to produce physical, recognisable pictures. It means nothing on its own without intelligence behind it deciding what to represent.

God decided what DNA was going to represent and produce; the code it was going to carry. Naturalistic means cannot produce abstract information that means something beyond itself, for to the evolutionist, there is nothing beyond natural existance. We can think abstractly because we have a higher than natural intelligence to put physical things into symbols - we have a soul of supernatural, creative origin.

Grace Abounds

Romans 5:20 - 'But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound'

The madness that is going on as this country is reaping what it has sowed in immorality, an unbridled media and secular humanism, is causing an openess in hearts of people unto truth. I believe we are on the cusp of revival if we seriously get in prayer and be ready to give an asnwer for the hope that is within us in bold evangelism.

I was preaching outside Walthamstow central station yesterday afternoon as my heart boiled over at a godless generation of mainly black youth. As I was preaching about the amorality of last days Britain and the fact that looters to politicians must all stand before the living God, I noticed that a lot more people were open and listening than one would normally observe.

In particular, there were three muslims that stood transfixed. Two young men, probably in their mid-twenties and a woman, all dressed in traditional muslim attire. When I finished I asked them what they thought about what I said. One of the men replied that It was very good and that I was speaking truth. I then asked them what they thought of Jesus Christ. He responded that they believed He was a prophet. I then asked if they knew what He had said. The spokesman for the group said that Jesus had taught 'we should be good people'. I could clearly see these were good people who were hungry for truth and were not full of the usual automated rebuttals to Christianity that we normally experience.

I then said to him 'no He didn't say that', and then began to expound the gospel through the need to be born again of Christ and the provision of a blood sacrifice in the Lamb of God, telling them that this was the testimony of Isa al-Masih (Jesus the Messiah) through the Injil (the gospel - language they could understand and place within their theology).

My wife arrived and I had to go, but I shook their hands (not the lady's!) knowing that an awesome seed had been planted in their hearts through the sight of someone zealously proclaiming truth.

Later that evenining we had a call from a frightened new convert - she handed the phone to her fiance, who I was able to lead to Christ over the phone. I really see revival around the corner.

The only Way for the totally lost

The violence and looting that has been seen in North and East London is symptomatic of a lost generation of young men full of anger and frustration, devoid of moral reference points.

They have walked around with chips on their shoulder, not knowing the love, discipline and exampleship of a father, not knowing the discipline removed from the education system, not knowing what it is to hope in getting a good education, not knowing how to control wayward hormones and emotions that have stewed in a quagmire of fornication, drugs and the constant demonic input of the media.

Growing up in a benefit state, with a false sense of entitlement and a perverted perception of what it means to be ‘respected’, these young men just needed an excuse. The people gathered at Babel just needed the fear of another flood and those who called for greatness; the thousands that followed Christ into Jerusalem just needed seventy religious leaders to turn their cheers to cries for execution; the men of Benjamin just needed a plan and the right opportunity to turn into kidnappers and rapists.

Given the circumstance, whether fostered over years or a matter of days, the human heart has the ability for great wickedness. Humanity is totally lost, and those who are totally lost will cling to the first person who says that they can show a way. Let us pray that these events will cause local councils to seek a method they’ve never tried and open doors for the Way to be preached to those who laugh in the face of man’s authority.

Incredible Creation

I can't help but glorify God when I consider the works of His hands.

Just the other day I picked up a mosquito bite on my hand, just as I was leaving the tent on the last night of our healing crusade. I tend to react quite badly to UK mosquito bites (for some reason African ones don't bother me much), usually resulting in a lot of swelling and itching.

Sure enough over the next few days my hand ballooned and became very stiff. I first of all prayed for healing and did feel a change, but on going to the doctors and being prescribed antihistamines I remembered that God has provided a wonderful creation (though tainted by sin) that He glorifies His name in just as He does in healing.

I am not for drug therapy at all, knowing that it is based on an evolution world-view and secularism. With this in mind I politely accepted the prescription without intending to use it (I don't mind blessing the GPs with a few points;-)).  I then went and did a little research, finding out that Papayas are a natural antihistamine, without the cost and side effects of prescription drugs. The world doesn't want to promote the healing power of natural things because they can't regulate them like drugs and thus would lose billions of dollars. Besides, if natural resources heal then that points towards some sort of intention behind their design and creation, and no self-respecting secular humanist would allow anything to point them towards an almighty God to be accountable to.

I cut some strips off a Papaya and laid it on my hand for about 15 minutes - the swelling reduced that night and over these last two days has diminished to be hardly noticable. When I had been bitten on the legs before it would take over a week to go down. The Papain enzyme in the Papaya actually breaks down the proteins in the mosquito saliva, thus reducing the itch and reaction.

I am not sure whether God put it in plants in preparation for a fall He knew would happen, or whether He created the plants with all these properties to glorify His name, but I do know that it is clear that natural things that have specific effects on human beings for their benefit can only be another finger pointing towards Jesus Christ. As one man said, it looks like someone was expecting our arrival.

In Whom There is Guile?

In the first chapter of John we have the interesting story of Nathanael.

After being told by Andrew that they had found the Messiah, Nathanael flippently remarked 'can any good come out of Nazareth?' Nazareth was not an upmarket part of town by any means, and to a Jewish mind moulded by circumstance rather than the word of God, it did not seem like the place to produce the warrior-king Christ that would set the Jews free from the oppression of the ruling Romans.

We know of the moment when Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him and called  him 'an Israelite in whom there is no guile' and Nathanael's reponse in asking how Jesus knew him.

Imagine with me if Nathanael had guile within him. Imagine if he had not been praying under the fig tree as some suppose, but plotting how to fiddle his work expenses or dodge his temple tax? If Christ had called out to him and said 'here comes a deceiver' would he have asked how he knew him or would he be angry that he was being accused? Would he have missed out on salvation and a chance to see 'greater things'?

We find it easy to identify ourselves with praise, but owning up to failings and flaws is a lot harder. When God speaks to us will we gladly respond to His commendation and ignore His reproof, or will we enter into all He has for us with an open and transparent heart, whether the word comes directly from Him or through headship, leadership or friendship?

Whether I am an Israelite with guile or without, I always want to run to Him as He speaks to me, that I may see those greater things and if the guile is there, that it can be removed.

Healing During Door-Knocking

Though we all get slighlty edgy at the thought of door-knocking, not wanting to join the ranks of salesmen, Avon ladies and Jehovah's Witnesses, it can be a powerful time.

This was evidenced by last Friday, when we were door-knocking around the area of our tent crusade to be held at the end of the month. One of the other church leaders knocked a door and an older lady answered. Asking if there was any sickness or pain in her body, she responded that her leg was hurting her (she had limped to the door). He called me over and after a little while I challenged her again to let us pray for her.

She called her friend out to witness it, and as we laid on hands a simple prayer of faith set her completely free from that leg pain. When we asked her friend if she had any pain she responded that she had arthritic pain in her wrist. We prayed for her and afterwards she was able to move that wrist up and down like a young lady, with no sign of pain. Hallelujah!

Healing on the Streets

We are currently outreaching for our Dare to Believe tent crusade.

Last week we were out in Stratford, handing out flyers, witnessing and street preaching. We stopped an older lady and asked if there was any pain in her body; she emphatically replied 'yes!' She told us of lower back pain she has had for years, having received pain killing injections but now facing having to attend a pain clinic and receive large doses of medication.

We sat her down to find a slightly shorter left leg. I told her that Jesus was going to heal her. She said that she was Jewish and believed in God but not Jesus. I told her that it was Jesus who was going to heal her so I was going to pray in His name - she reluctantly agreed. Sometimes we have to press in with praying for people as God can heal them to shake up there beliefs.

I led her in prayer, and even though she said 'in the name of God' not Jesus, when I layed hands on her I certainly called on the Name above all other names! She stood up and said that her back felt better and thanked us for praying with her. She didn't jump around, but it was never the less profound that this lady had received healing in the name of the Messiah she had previously denied. She had actually said 'well He is the Son of God isn't He?' as she got up.

The Son of God touched her body and I believe her heart that day, and we are believing for many more Holy Ghost encounters leading up to Dare to Believe at the end of this month. Glory to God!

Two Men from Ramathaim

There were two men from Ramathaim of Ephraim.

One anointed the first king of Israel, requested by the people, to be as the heathen. The other anointed the last king, rejected and despised by the people, desiring once more to be like the heathen.

The first king died having lost the kingdom, the last king died having established the kingdom. The first was anointed by the one man and ended up in sin, the last was anointed by the other man after he had become sin. One anointed in life, the other anointed in death.

The two kings? King Saul and King Jesus. The two men from Ramathaim? The prophet Samuel and Joseph of Arimathaea.

The Pillars of Destruction

There are two big pillars of destrcuction in these last days: education and the media - namely evolution theory and the music industry.

We are soldiers in a spiritual battle, but sometimes I feel we are shooting in the wrong direction. What army would allow planes to fly over and drop bombs on them with bringing out the artillery to shoot them down? Yet because spiritual damage is subtle and discerned proactively rather than passively and incidentally, many of us take no notice of the heavy shelling that has been bombarding the purposes of the Kingdom in the last 150 years and the last century, respectively.

If your arm gets blown off you don't need to do any research about it - it has been inflicted on you directly and it hurst physically. When youth go to school and from five years old are taught foolishness about dinosaurs living 'millions of years ago' and an explosion creating everything, and then start listening to hip
hop or rock music as they grow up then we have a generation planted and watered in spiritual wickedness.

Jesus said His words are spirit and they are life - that tells me that what the devil and the world says is flesh and death. We sometimes think nothing of the power of the words and spirits functioning through the education system and in the music industry, and then wonder why we find witnessing so tough or see such wayward church kids.

It's time to angle our artillery at the ever swooping vultures of evolution and the media so we don't continue to suffer the outrageous losses that they have wreaked upon us with all too regular immunity. Let us pray for more Kent Hovinds and G. Craige Lewis's.

Spiritual Warfare

Just yesterday I was outreaching for the healing night our care team group has this Saturday, when a man took a flyer and stopped.

He was a tall scandinavian man called Ardi (yes, also the name of that gibbon-like fossil that was claimed to be an early ancestor of man). He asked if the event was for Christ and I said it was. He then asked me to pray for a Jewish lady called Brahi. He told me that he had just recorded a professional pianist playing a peice of music that she requested, and that because the pianist was Messianic (believes in Jesus as Messiah) she was quite upset and had not shown any appreciation.

He seemed to have a burden for Israel and Jewish people and also asked me to pray for revival in Israel. He interestingly mentioned that he was riding his racing bicycle, on his way to deliver the CD of the pianist, when something told him to stop and pray. He stopped, prayed and carried on riding. He relayed that 20 seconds later a van pulled suddenly out in front of him - he had no time to stop, but found that he simply gently bumped the side of the van. The driver jumped out in a panic to see if he was okay, to which he replied he was fine.

Ardi encouraged me that I am in a battle and that what we are doing with the healing night was no doubt annoying the devil to the extreme. After such a testimony of an assault against the delivery of the CD to the Jewish lady we both agreed to lift up in prayer each others' needs - myself to pray for Brahi's salvation through the tesimony of Ardi and the Messianic Jews and Ardi to pray for covering over our healing night.

It is amazing the financial assault that has been sustained against us this month - it can be no coincidence. Praise God for the One who gives power over and against the devourer.

Maneno Katika Kiswahili - Tuhitaji Wanafunzi

Yesu akamwambia wanafunzi wake 'kufanya wanafunzi kutoka mataifa'.

Searching...in All the Wrong Places

A couple of weeks ago I witnessed to a man with a very sad story.

His son had hanged himself and basically this man was unable to find peace or get a decent night's sleep for ten years since. I will tell you he was called Mike incase you would take time to pray that I meet him again.

He explained how he didn't believe in (acknowledge) God, but had searched everywhere for answers. He even went to a Spiritist meeting and told me that as soon as he walked in the door someone there said he had the aura of a dead young man about him - I told Mike that this simply proved the supernatural realm, albeit demonic.

He went on to reveal that his son had been 'into' church and that it hadn't helped him - i.e he had still committed suicide. I was unable to find out all the circumstances surrounding this, but Mike did tell me that he hadn't talked to his son for three years leading up to his death.

As I tried to minister the gospel (he was one of those people where you need to let them talk, but at the same time, when they do, its hard to get a word in edge-ways) he told me he had seen his son in dreams. The first time he saw him they embraced and he told his son he was sorry. The second time he saw him he asked his son to come back, but he said 'I can't dad' and faded away - he hasn't had a vision of him since.

I am not sure about all of the dynamics involved, but maybe, just maybe his son was saved (if suicide is not unpardonable) and God allowed this to point his dad to the truth he has been searching for all this time. I unfortunately am reminded of Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. This scripture rang true as Mike walked away without receiving the truth he desperately searched for and needed.

Showing the Love of God

The other day before leading our Saturday outreach I had a bit of time.

I decided to head down to the town square to do a bit of pre-witnessing witnessing, just to check out what was happening and to give me something to encourage the people who came along to outreach with.

I sat down next to a Pakistani man and asked what he was doing. It is a great way of getting into a witness, if you have the time, by simply asking someone what they are up to that day. As we began to talk he revealed that he had been in the country three weeks and was facing losing his accomodation - he also had no job and thus no money.

He began to open up to me and revealed that his family were unable to help as they were all in Pakistan - his father being old and disabled and his mother having died when he was eight years old. I felt the Holy Spirit prompting me not to jam him about sin but to tell him about the love of God. As this dear man continued to talk tears suddenly started to stream down his face as he cried 'I miss my mother'. Tears of compassion from Jesus rolled down my face also. I put my arm around his shoulder and gave him a comforting embrace. I then prayed for God's peace to touch him.

This dear man would not accept any money to help him out, but thanked me sincerely for speaking to him and praying for him. I knew that God had done more in that witness than a hundred debates with hard-hearted people. We exchanged numbers as I told him God sent me to him today. He testified that he felt an incredible peace after I prayed for him and we left with a friendly embrace and a promise to stay in touch - praise God for that amazing opportunity to touch someone's life with the love of Jesus Christ!

How or Why?

In a conversation with an evolutionist recently I asked him how free-will and morality evolved. He then explained that they evolved because of the need for increased social interaction.

I didn't pick up on what was going on at the time, but as hindsight would always afford us, it is now quite clear what had occured: I had asked how it evolved and he had answered with why he believed it evolved.

This is a common fallacy of evolutionism - namely glossing over the answer has to how something evolved with why they think it evolved, as if this explains it. The problem is that evolutionists have three main choices (Lamarkism, Darwinisn or Punctuated Equilibria) to explain how something evolved, and none of these even comes close to being able to justify any of their beliefs as to why it evolved.

Lamarkism says that giraffes had short necks, but as they stretched for higher branches over time their necks became longer as they slowly passed the increments onto their offspring. Darwinism says that as mutations happened in genomes over time, such mutations as turned out to be beneficial caused the creature/s to survive better or instead of their furry friends. Punctuated Equilibria came along after evolutionists started realising the limitations of Darwinism (or Natural Selection) and decided that the millions of changes between different kinds of animals happened instantaneously, i.e a bird hatched out of a reptile egg (sic).

Since removing a transcendent, intelligent programmer leaves only naturalistic explanations, which work in the realms of chance, you will find that evolutionists will skip over the theoretical impracticalities of explaining how something evolved and simply tell you why they think it evolved - believing that this is a perfectly valid answer to your question. Such is the level of indoctrination in this world that otherwise intelligent people will confidently spout logical fallacies and circular arguments, all the while thinking they are presenting not just a sound argument but the objective truth.

I had a similar result with a Harvard professor, who explained that zombie-ant fungus evolved to control ants to their own reproductive ends by the same way all complex genomes evolved - by tiny incremental changes over a long time. In this instance he went a step further and told me which evolutionary mechanism he believed explains it, but still avoided saying how it evolved, i.e. how those incremental changes have taken a fungus reproducing from normal spore dispersal to zombie-fying ants and exploding out their heads Alien style.

As usual, we must surrender reason and logic to the gods of Time and Chance, not to be questioned in their infallibility.

Mr. Unreasonable

I thought this interesting since I have never witnessed to someone quite so unreasonable.

I saw a brother seeming to struggle with a witness so I stepped into what I expected to be a typical encounter with a secular humanist.

This man turned out to be quite the anomaly as I challenged him on the origins of the universe. He said that Big Bang theory is the most likely explanation and that is what he believes. When I asked if he knew what evidence there was to support it (I was expecting Red Shift/Background Radiation) he said no - I then stated that him believing that the Big Bang is the most likely and scientific answer to the origin of the universe, when he didn't even know what evidence is put forward for it, is ridiculous and unscientific - he stared at me before going off on a tangent.

I then asked if he believed in absolutes and he said no. I asked him if he was absolutely sure about that and he said that he wasn't! He then went on to say that nothing is certain, but was adamant that rape cannot be justified, even by Evolution theory - at this point I realised I was speaking to someone who made about as much sense as a hippy sitting under a tree smoking dope: 'everything is everything, man' seemed to be his unspoken motto.

When he tried to explain free will and self-awareness by Evolution I started to mention animals that have neither but survive perfectly well. At this point he used the old cop-out that 'we are never going to agree' and made a hasty exit.

At first I was someone who he thought he could refute on every point, then I was someone who had an opposite opinion that was valid enough to be left alone incase any more of his illogical position was exposed.

It was interesting to see someone who held so many fallacious beliefs and could not even be reasoned with - at every turn he refuted logic as 'anthropomorphic' - completely denying the view of human interpretation that the science he claims to hold to works upon. So I guess Francis Crick (the co-discoverer of DNA) was being way too anthropomorphic when he said that DNA was too complex to evolve and must have been created by someone, even ET!

Lady Powerfully Healed on Streets

We saw an amazing miracle at our regular church outreach on Saturday, which I was leading.

I had a chair out to pray for the sick and asked an older lady passing by if she had any sickness or pain in her body that I could pray for. She immediately said 'God must have sent you'.

Her name was Margaret and she was an older Zimbabwean lady. She sat down and explained that she suffered from arthritis all over her body and a stomach hernia that kept her bloated and in pain.

After asking this dear lady if there was anybody she needed to forgive I held her hands and prayed for her, then layed my hands on her joints in the name of Jesus. She immediately smiled, opened her mouth in astonishment and began to move her shoulders without being asked. She then got up and bent over reaching past her knees! She moved her shoulders, legs and back without pain and began to pray to thank God for her healing and for our meeting.

As soon as she was healed she said 'what power is this?' and 'who are you?' in astonishment at the instant healing she had received - this is one of the most powerful reactions I have seen to a healing. She testified that the bloating and heavy feeling her hernia was giving her had also vanished to the glory of God!
