The Pillars of Destruction

There are two big pillars of destrcuction in these last days: education and the media - namely evolution theory and the music industry.

We are soldiers in a spiritual battle, but sometimes I feel we are shooting in the wrong direction. What army would allow planes to fly over and drop bombs on them with bringing out the artillery to shoot them down? Yet because spiritual damage is subtle and discerned proactively rather than passively and incidentally, many of us take no notice of the heavy shelling that has been bombarding the purposes of the Kingdom in the last 150 years and the last century, respectively.

If your arm gets blown off you don't need to do any research about it - it has been inflicted on you directly and it hurst physically. When youth go to school and from five years old are taught foolishness about dinosaurs living 'millions of years ago' and an explosion creating everything, and then start listening to hip
hop or rock music as they grow up then we have a generation planted and watered in spiritual wickedness.

Jesus said His words are spirit and they are life - that tells me that what the devil and the world says is flesh and death. We sometimes think nothing of the power of the words and spirits functioning through the education system and in the music industry, and then wonder why we find witnessing so tough or see such wayward church kids.

It's time to angle our artillery at the ever swooping vultures of evolution and the media so we don't continue to suffer the outrageous losses that they have wreaked upon us with all too regular immunity. Let us pray for more Kent Hovinds and G. Craige Lewis's.

Spiritual Warfare

Just yesterday I was outreaching for the healing night our care team group has this Saturday, when a man took a flyer and stopped.

He was a tall scandinavian man called Ardi (yes, also the name of that gibbon-like fossil that was claimed to be an early ancestor of man). He asked if the event was for Christ and I said it was. He then asked me to pray for a Jewish lady called Brahi. He told me that he had just recorded a professional pianist playing a peice of music that she requested, and that because the pianist was Messianic (believes in Jesus as Messiah) she was quite upset and had not shown any appreciation.

He seemed to have a burden for Israel and Jewish people and also asked me to pray for revival in Israel. He interestingly mentioned that he was riding his racing bicycle, on his way to deliver the CD of the pianist, when something told him to stop and pray. He stopped, prayed and carried on riding. He relayed that 20 seconds later a van pulled suddenly out in front of him - he had no time to stop, but found that he simply gently bumped the side of the van. The driver jumped out in a panic to see if he was okay, to which he replied he was fine.

Ardi encouraged me that I am in a battle and that what we are doing with the healing night was no doubt annoying the devil to the extreme. After such a testimony of an assault against the delivery of the CD to the Jewish lady we both agreed to lift up in prayer each others' needs - myself to pray for Brahi's salvation through the tesimony of Ardi and the Messianic Jews and Ardi to pray for covering over our healing night.

It is amazing the financial assault that has been sustained against us this month - it can be no coincidence. Praise God for the One who gives power over and against the devourer.

Maneno Katika Kiswahili - Tuhitaji Wanafunzi

Yesu akamwambia wanafunzi wake 'kufanya wanafunzi kutoka mataifa'.

Searching...in All the Wrong Places

A couple of weeks ago I witnessed to a man with a very sad story.

His son had hanged himself and basically this man was unable to find peace or get a decent night's sleep for ten years since. I will tell you he was called Mike incase you would take time to pray that I meet him again.

He explained how he didn't believe in (acknowledge) God, but had searched everywhere for answers. He even went to a Spiritist meeting and told me that as soon as he walked in the door someone there said he had the aura of a dead young man about him - I told Mike that this simply proved the supernatural realm, albeit demonic.

He went on to reveal that his son had been 'into' church and that it hadn't helped him - i.e he had still committed suicide. I was unable to find out all the circumstances surrounding this, but Mike did tell me that he hadn't talked to his son for three years leading up to his death.

As I tried to minister the gospel (he was one of those people where you need to let them talk, but at the same time, when they do, its hard to get a word in edge-ways) he told me he had seen his son in dreams. The first time he saw him they embraced and he told his son he was sorry. The second time he saw him he asked his son to come back, but he said 'I can't dad' and faded away - he hasn't had a vision of him since.

I am not sure about all of the dynamics involved, but maybe, just maybe his son was saved (if suicide is not unpardonable) and God allowed this to point his dad to the truth he has been searching for all this time. I unfortunately am reminded of Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. This scripture rang true as Mike walked away without receiving the truth he desperately searched for and needed.
